Originally produced during the golden age of Hawaiian shirts, the pattern reflects the strong influence of American military culture across Hawaii in the years following WWII.

Unlike the rayon fabrics commonly used for aloha shirts, this piece is cut from textured cotton herringbone, giving the shirt a drier hand feel and more structured appearance.
